Bi-Larv WP

Bi-Larv WP by ENVU is a larval-control insecticide designed for mosquito and housefly management. Its active ingredient, Diflubenzuron, acts as an insect growth regulator and disrupts the formation of chitin, an essential component required by larvae to complete their moulting and development process.

By interrupting larval development, Bi-Larv helps prevent mosquito larvae and housefly maggots from successfully developing into adult insects. It is effective against the larvae of the three major mosquito groups—Aedes, Anopheles and Culex—and can also be applied for housefly maggot control in approved breeding locations.

The formulation remains stable in polluted water and under high-temperature conditions. ENVU describes it as target-specific and comparatively safe for non-target organisms when applied according to the approved product label.

Recommended Dosage for Mosquito Larvae

Before application, first mix the required quantity of Bi-Larv WP with a small amount of water to prepare a smooth premix and avoid the formation of lumps. Add this premix to the sprayer tank and complete the required final water volume.

Clear surface water:
Mix 10 g in 10 litres of water.

Polluted surface water:
Mix 20 g in 10 litres of water.

Dose for larger areas:

Recommended Dosage for Housefly Maggots

Mix 5 g of Bi-Larv WP in 5 litres of water and spray uniformly over approximately 10 square metres of the breeding area.

Repeat the treatment at intervals of 6–14 days, according to the level of infestation and the instructions printed on the product label.

Mode of Action

Diflubenzuron interferes with chitin formation during the moulting process of insect larvae. Without normal chitin development, the larvae cannot complete the moulting process properly, which interrupts their growth and prevents normal development into adult insects.

• Avoid contact with the mouth, eyes and skin.
• Apply the spray in the direction of the wind.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing and application equipment.
• Wash exposed body parts thoroughly after application.
• Wash contaminated clothing separately after use.
• Keep the product away from children, food and animal feed.
• Do not use in drinking water unless specifically permitted by the product label.
• Store in the original container in a cool, dry and secure place.
• Do not reuse empty product packaging.
• In case of accidental exposure, seek medical advice and show the original product label.
