K-Othrine WG

K-Othrine WG by ENVU is a concentrated residual insecticide designed for professional management of mosquitoes and cockroaches. The convenient 2 g monodose pack contains water-dispersible granules that dissolve or disperse easily when mixed with water.

The prepared solution is sprayed onto approved surfaces where mosquitoes commonly rest and cockroaches hide or travel. Once the treated surface dries, susceptible insects are exposed to Deltamethrin when they come into contact with the insecticide deposit.

K-Othrine WG is suitable for targeted pest-control treatments in household and commercial premises, including approved food-handling and food-processing areas. Its odourless and non-staining formulation makes it suitable for sensitive premises when correctly applied according to the original product label.

K-Othrine WG 250 is also an actively WHO-prequalified indoor residual spraying product. WHO identifies it as a water-dispersible granule formulation containing 25% Deltamethrin.

Recommended Dosage

Mix:

2 g of K-Othrine WG in 1 litre of water.

Apply the prepared solution to cover:

• 20 square metres for a high infestation, or
• 40 square metres for a low infestation.

Always follow the dosage and application directions printed on the original ENVU packaging. Do not increase the concentration beyond the registered rate.

Application Instructions

1. Inspect the premises and identify mosquito-resting areas and cockroach harbourages.
2. Wear the protective equipment specified on the product label.
3. Fill the spray tank partly with clean water.
4. Open one 2 g monodose pack carefully.
5. Add the granules to the spray tank.
6. Add the remaining water to make a total of 1 litre.
7. Mix or agitate thoroughly until the formulation is evenly dispersed.
8. Apply uniformly to approved pest-resting, hiding and movement areas.
9. Concentrate treatment on cracks, crevices, corners and structural gaps.
10. Avoid excessive spraying, dripping and runoff.
11. Keep people and animals away during treatment.
12. Allow treated surfaces to dry completely before permitting re-entry.

K-Othrine WG is a residual surface insecticide. It should not be used in thermal foggers, ULV machines or other space-spray equipment unless such use is specifically permitted on the original label.

Mode of Action

Deltamethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide. Susceptible mosquitoes and cockroaches are exposed when they contact the treated surface. The active ingredient disrupts normal nerve-signal transmission, resulting in rapid knockdown, paralysis and control of the insect.

Deltamethrin products can be hazardous to aquatic organisms. Prevent the concentrate, diluted spray and equipment wash water from entering drains, ponds, waterways or groundwater.

First Aid

• Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash the affected skin thoroughly with soap and water.
• Eye contact: Rinse carefully with clean water for several minutes.
• Inhalation: Move the affected person to fresh air.
• Swallowing: Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by a medical professional.
