Responsar SC by ENVU is a professional pest-control insecticide developed for managing common crawling and flying insect pests. It can be applied as a diluted residual surface spray in locations where cockroaches hide or move and where houseflies and mosquitoes commonly rest.

The formulation works through contact and ingestion. Beta-Cyfluthrin affects the insect nervous system, producing rapid knockdown and eventual control of susceptible pests. The treatment continues working on the sprayed surface after the deposit has dried, providing residual protection when applied according to the product label.

Responsar contains no organic solvents, which gives it a very low odour compared with many conventional solvent-based insecticides. It is designed to perform on both porous and non-porous surfaces and is endorsed by HACCP International for approved applications within HACCP-based pest-management programmes.

Recommended Dosage

Mix:

20 ml of Responsar SC in 1 litre of water

Apply the prepared solution uniformly over:

• 20 m² of porous surfaces, or
• 40 m² of non-porous surfaces.

Understanding Surface Types

Porous surfaces absorb more spray and may include unfinished cement, brick, plaster and similar surfaces.

Non-porous surfaces absorb less spray and may include tiles, metal, glass and sealed or painted surfaces.

Mode of Action

Responsar acts as a contact and stomach insecticide. Beta-Cyfluthrin interferes with the normal functioning of the insect nervous system. This produces rapid knockdown, followed by paralysis and control of susceptible insects.

Mixing and Application Instructions

1. Read the complete product label before opening the container.
2. Wear rubber gloves, a face mask and other protective equipment specified on the label.
3. Fill the spray tank partly with clean water.
4. Measure the required quantity of Responsar SC.
5. Add the measured product carefully to the spray tank.
6. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
7. Apply uniformly to approved pest-resting, hiding and movement areas.
8. Give particular attention to cracks, crevices and cockroach harbourages.
9. Avoid excessive spraying, dripping and runoff.
10. Keep people and animals away during treatment.
11. Allow treated surfaces to dry completely before permitting re-entry.

Responsar SC is a residual surface insecticide and should not be used for thermal or ULV fogging unless that application is specifically approved on the product label.

First Aid

In case of skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water. If the product enters the eyes, rinse carefully with clean water. Move the affected person to fresh air after inhalation exposure.

Seek medical assistance immediately if poisoning symptoms appear or if the product is swallowed. Carry the original product container or label when obtaining medical treatment. ENVU’s leaflet states that no specific antidote is known and treatment should be symptomatic.
