Solfac EW

Solfac EW by ENVU is a professional residual insecticide developed for managing common crawling and flying insect pests. Its active ingredient, Cyfluthrin, acts on susceptible insects that come into contact with treated surfaces.

The diluted solution is applied to insect resting, hiding and movement areas such as cracks, crevices, corners and other approved indoor surfaces. Its strong surface-adhering properties help the insecticide remain available on treated areas for longer, providing residual control after application.

The low-odour emulsion formulation mixes easily with water and produces virtually invisible deposits, making it suitable for sensitive indoor applications when used according to label instructions. Solfac EW is also suitable for approved non-food zones in food and beverage facilities operating under HACCP-based food-safety programmes.

Recommended Dosage for Residual Spraying

For residual surface treatment:

• Mix 8 ml of Solfac EW in 1 litre of water.
• Apply approximately 50 ml of the prepared solution per square metre.
• One litre of prepared solution covers approximately 20 square metres.
• Apply uniformly to cracks, crevices, corners and other approved insect hiding or resting areas.

The required quantity may vary according to the surface type, pest infestation and application equipment. Always follow the dosage printed on the original product label.

Bed-Net Impregnation

Solfac EW may also be used for mosquito-bed-net impregnation as directed on the approved label.

• Calculate the total surface area of the bed net.
• Use 1 ml of Solfac EW for every 1 square metre of net area.
• Dilute the measured formulation in the required quantity of water.
• Dip and soak the bed net uniformly in the prepared solution.
• Dry the treated net completely in the shade before use.

For example:

• A 10 m² bed net requires 10 ml of Solfac EW.
• A 20 m² bed net requires 20 ml of Solfac EW.

Bed-net treatment should be performed only by trained personnel and strictly according to the registered label and applicable public-health guidelines.

Mode of Action

Cyfluthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that affects normal nerve-signal transmission in susceptible insects. Insects coming into contact with the treated deposit experience nervous-system disruption, resulting in knockdown, paralysis and control.

Application Instructions

1. Read the complete label before opening the container.
2. Wear the recommended personal protective equipment.
3. Fill the sprayer partly with clean water.
4. Measure the required quantity of Solfac EW.
5. Add the measured product to the spray tank.
6. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
7. Apply the solution uniformly to approved surfaces.
8. Give special attention to cracks, crevices, corners and pest hiding areas.
9. Avoid excessive application, dripping or runoff.
10. Allow treated surfaces to dry before permitting re-entry.

• Store locked in the original labelled container.
• Dispose of unused product and packaging through an approved disposal method.

The ENVU safety data sheet classifies the formulation as capable of causing an allergic skin reaction and as very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Always use the protective equipment and precautions stated on the original label.
