Transport EX

Transport EX by ENVU is a professional household insecticide formulated for controlling common crawling and flying pests through residual surface treatment. It is especially useful where insects remain hidden behind furniture, inside wall gaps, beneath appliances, around pipe openings and within cracks and crevices.

The product combines quick knockdown with strong flushing action. This helps drive hidden insects out of their harbourages and increases their contact with the treated surface. Once applied correctly, the spray deposit continues acting on susceptible pests that move across the treated area. ENVU recommends Transport EX for bed bugs, cockroaches and houseflies and lists it for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Transport EX is supplied as an emulsifiable concentrate that is diluted with water before application. Its concentrated liquid formulation is easy to measure, mix and apply with suitable residual-spray equipment.

Target Pests

Transport EX is officially recommended by ENVU for controlling:

Recommended Areas of Application

Transport EX may be applied to approved pest-resting, hiding and movement areas such as:

• Cracks and crevices
• Wall and floor junctions
• Gaps around doors and windows
• Areas behind furniture
• Areas underneath and behind appliances
• Bed frames and furniture joints, where permitted
• Cockroach harbourages
• Housefly-resting surfaces
• Approved indoor and outdoor structural surfaces

Do not apply directly to mattresses, pillows, bedding, clothing, people, animals, food or food-contact surfaces unless expressly permitted by the original label.

Recommended Dosage

For bed bugs, cockroaches and houseflies:

• Mix 25–50 ml of Transport EX in 1 litre of water.
• Apply approximately 50 ml of prepared spray per square metre.
• The resulting active-ingredient deposit is approximately 250–500 mg per square metre, according to ENVU’s stated application rate.

The lower or higher concentration must be selected strictly according to the original label, infestation level, treated surface and professional recommendation. Do not increase the concentration beyond the approved dosage.

Application Method

Transport EX is intended for use as a residual surface spray.

1. Read the complete product label before opening the container.
2. Wear the protective equipment specified on the label.
3. Fill the spray tank partly with clean water.
4. Measure the required quantity of Transport EX.
5. Add it carefully to the spray tank.
6. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
7. Apply uniformly to approved pest-hiding and resting surfaces.
8. Focus treatment on cracks, crevices and harbourage areas.
9. Avoid excessive spraying, dripping and runoff.
10. Keep the treated area unoccupied until the spray has dried and the area has been ventilated as required by the label.

Transport EX should not be presented or used as a thermal-fogging, ULV-fogging or airborne room-spray product unless the specific label on your pack expressly approves that application.

Mode of Action

Propoxur belongs to the Group 1A carbamate insecticides. It inhibits acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme required for normal nerve-signal regulation. This causes excessive nerve activity, followed by paralysis and control of susceptible insects.

Important Safety Instructions

• Use only according to the original ENVU product label.
• Application should preferably be carried out by trained pest-management personnel.
• Wear suitable gloves, protective clothing, footwear, eye protection and respiratory protection as directed.
• Avoid inhaling vapour or spray mist.
• Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing.
• Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while mixing or applying the product.
• Remove or securely cover food, utensils, toys and animal feed before treatment.
• Keep children, pets and unauthorised persons away during treatment.
• Wash hands, face and exposed skin thoroughly after application.
• Wash contaminated clothing separately before reuse.
• Prevent the concentrate, diluted spray and equipment wash water from entering drains, ponds or other water bodies.
• Store securely in its original labelled container, away from food, medicines and animal feed.
• Do not reuse the empty container.

WHO advises pesticide users to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for both application and personal protection.

Propoxur affects cholinesterase activity, so accidental swallowing, significant inhalation or heavy skin exposure may require urgent medical attention.
