Baraki

Baraki by ENVU is a long-lasting mosquito larvicide developed for public-health vector-control programmes. Its active ingredient, Pyriproxyfen, acts like a juvenile insect hormone and disrupts the normal growth and moulting process of mosquito larvae. This prevents the immature stages from completing their development and becoming adult mosquitoes.

The easy-to-apply granular formulation can be broadcast directly in approved mosquito-breeding habitats. It is particularly useful in areas where liquid spraying is inconvenient or not possible. Baraki may be used in clean-water and polluted or peri-domestic mosquito-breeding locations, strictly according to the product label.

Recommended Dosage

Clean water and domestic-container breeding habitats:
Use 2,000 g formulation per hectare, equivalent to 0.01 ppm active ingredient.

Polluted or peri-domestic breeding habitats:
Use 4,000 g formulation per hectare, equivalent to 0.02 ppm active ingredient.

The official product information indicates an interval of three weeks between applications. Always follow the instructions printed on the product label.

Safety Instructions

Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust, mist or vapour, and never handle or mix the product with bare hands. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while applying it. After application, wash exposed skin and contaminated clothing thoroughly with soap. Keep away from children, food products and animals, and dispose of empty packaging according to label instructions. In case of accidental swallowing, seek medical attention immediately.
