The ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is a popular, low-maintenance, drought-tolerant tropical perennial known for its glossy, dark green compound leaves and upright, arching stems. Native to eastern Africa, it features succulent-like, thick, potato-like rhizomes that store water, making it an exceptionally hardy indoor plant that thrives in low light.

- Foliage: Shiny, smooth, leathery, pinnately compound leaves (about 25 leaflets per leaf).
- Stems: Thick, fleshy, and broad at the base, tapering towards the top.
