About this Item

The Ficus elastica ‘Shivereana’ (or Shivereana Moonshine) is a rare, highly sought-after, and luxurious cultivar of the rubber tree plant. Known for its stunning, thick, and glossy elliptical leaves, it features a unique, dappled pattern of creamy-yellow, light green, and deep emerald green with occasional pink-orange speckles.
Key Characteristics and Care:
  • Appearance: Leaves are variegated with a marble-like, creamy-green and light-green pattern.
  • Light Requirement: Thrives in bright, indirect light to maintain its vibrant coloring. It can adapt to lower light but may lose some variegation.
  • Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry; it prefers to not be waterlogged, which can cause root rot.
  • Temperature & Humidity: Prefers warm, humid environments, ideally between 65°F and 75°F (18°C – 24°C).
  • Growth: Known for its slow, moderate growth rate and upright, branching habit.
  • Toxicity: The sap is toxic if ingested and can cause skin irritation.
  • Rarity: It is rare because of its slow propagation in small batches, largely by nurseries in Thailand and India.
