The Homalomena Schismatoglottis (often referred to as Schismatoglottis or specifically Schismatoglottis wallichii) is a rare, tropical, understory plant prized for its patterned foliage, commonly sold in 12 cm (approx. 4–5 inch) nursery pots. It is often called the “Green Shield” or “Drop Tongue” plant due to its unique, lance-shaped leaves that resemble shields.
