8. Product-Specific Policies

Certain products sold by Nook & Nature are subject to additional conditions due to their natural, fragile, perishable, customised or handmade characteristics.

By purchasing such products, the customer agrees to the relevant product-specific conditions stated below.

8.1 Seed Germination Policy

At Nook & Nature, we are committed to supplying fresh, high-quality seeds. However, seed germination depends on several factors that are beyond our control, including temperature, humidity, soil quality, watering practices, sunlight, storage conditions and the customer’s growing methods.

8.1.1 Our Commitment

  • We supply carefully selected, quality-tested seeds.
  • Seeds are packed and stored under suitable conditions to maintain freshness.
  • Each seed variety is labelled with sowing and care instructions, wherever applicable.

8.1.2 Germination Disclaimer

We cannot guarantee a specific germination percentage because germination results may vary depending on:

  • Soil or growing medium
  • Watering frequency
  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Light conditions
  • Seed-sowing depth
  • Storage conditions after delivery
  • Pest or disease damage
  • The customer’s growing methods

Even under ideal conditions, natural germination rates may vary between different plant species and seed varieties.

8.1.3 Claims & Replacements

If you believe that a seed batch is defective, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

To evaluate a seed-related claim, we may request:

  • Your order number
  • Batch number, if available
  • Clear photographs of the seed packet
  • Photographs or videos of the sowing process
  • Details of the soil or growing medium used
  • Information about watering, temperature, humidity, light and other growing conditions

After reviewing the submitted information, Nook & Nature may, at its discretion:

  • Replace the eligible seed packet
  • Offer store credit
  • Provide technical sowing or growing guidance

Approval of a claim will depend on the information and evidence provided by the customer.

8.1.4 Non-Eligible Seed Claims

Seed claims may not be accepted if:

  • Seeds were sown incorrectly.
  • Seeds were stored improperly before sowing.
  • Unsuitable soil or growing conditions were used.
  • Recommended sowing depth, temperature, watering or light conditions were not followed.
  • Germination testing was not carried out according to recommended practices.
  • Seeds were damaged by pests, diseases, overwatering, underwatering or extreme weather.
  • The claim was submitted after the specified claim period.
  • Adequate photographs, videos or growing-condition details were not provided.

8.1.5 Recommended Germination Test

Before sowing the complete packet, we recommend testing approximately 10–20 seeds under controlled conditions.

This test can help evaluate germination performance before the complete packet is used.

8.1.6 Seed-Care Support

If you need assistance regarding sowing, watering, germination or plant care, our customer support team will be happy to guide you before and after your purchase.

8.1.7 Important Note

This Seed Germination Policy does not affect your statutory consumer rights under applicable laws. It is intended to explain the natural variability of seed germination and our process for handling seed quality-related concerns.

8.2 Ceramic Pots & Fragile Products Policy

Ceramic pots are handcrafted and fragile by nature. While we take precautions to ensure suitable packaging and delivery, slight variations and minor imperfections are natural characteristics of ceramic products.

8.2.1 Product Variations

  • Each ceramic pot may vary slightly in colour, glaze, texture, shape and finish.
  • Small pinholes, glaze marks, tiny bubbles or slight unevenness may be part of the handcrafted process and are not necessarily considered defects.
  • Product images are for reference purposes. Actual colours may vary because of screen settings, photography and lighting.

8.2.2 Shipping & Handling

  • Every ceramic pot is inspected before dispatch.
  • Products are packed using protective materials to minimise the risk of damage during transit.
  • Customers should open the package carefully and inspect the product immediately after delivery.

8.2.3 Damage During Transit

If a ceramic pot arrives damaged:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Provide your order number.
  • Provide clear photographs of:
    • The damaged ceramic pot
    • The outer shipping box
    • The inner packaging
    • The shipping label

Claims submitted after the specified reporting period may not be eligible for replacement, store credit or refund.

8.2.4 Replacement Policy

Approved transit-damage claims may qualify for:

  • A replacement product, subject to availability
  • Store credit
  • A refund, as determined after verification

8.2.5 Non-Returnable Ceramic Products

Returns or exchanges are not accepted for:

  • Minor colour or finish variations
  • Small handcrafted imperfections
  • Change of mind after delivery
  • Damage caused after delivery because of mishandling, dropping, improper use or accidental breakage

8.2.6 Ceramic Pot Care Instructions

  • Handle ceramic pots carefully, as they may chip or crack if dropped or subjected to impact.
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes that may cause cracking.
  • Use appropriate saucers and place pots on stable, level surfaces.
  • Lift larger ceramic pots from the base rather than from the rim.

8.2.7 Customer Support

If you have questions regarding a ceramic pot, please contact our customer support team with your order and product details.

8.3 Live Plant Policy

At Nook & Nature, every plant is carefully selected, inspected and packed to help ensure that it reaches you healthy and ready to grow.

Live plants are natural products. Each plant is unique and may vary slightly from the product images displayed on our website.

8.3.1 Plant Appearance

  • Every plant is unique in size, shape, colour and growth pattern.
  • The plant received may differ slightly from website images because of seasonal growth and natural variation.
  • Minor imperfections, small leaf spots or slight cosmetic damage may occur during transit and can be normal for live plants.

8.3.2 Healthy Plant Guarantee

We aim to dispatch healthy plants that have been inspected and carefully packed before shipping.

8.3.3 Delivery & Inspection

Customers should inspect their plant order immediately after delivery.

If a plant arrives severely damaged, dead or in poor condition:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Provide your order number.
  • Provide clear photographs of:
    • The complete plant
    • The pot and soil
    • The inner and outer packaging
    • The shipping label

Claims submitted after 24 hours may not be eligible for replacement, store credit or refund.

8.3.4 Shipping Stress

Live plants may experience temporary stress during transportation, including:

  • Drooping leaves
  • Yellowing of a few leaves
  • Minor leaf loss
  • Slight soil displacement

These are common effects of shipping and may resolve within a few days with suitable care. Such temporary symptoms are not necessarily considered product defects.

8.3.5 Replacement & Refund

Approved live-plant claims may be eligible for:

  • A replacement plant, subject to availability
  • Store credit
  • A refund, at our discretion after verification

8.3.6 No Return Policy

Due to the perishable nature of live plants, returns or exchanges are not accepted after the plants have been delivered.

8.3.7 Customer Responsibility

After delivery, suitable plant care becomes the customer’s responsibility. We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Overwatering or underwatering
  • Improper lighting
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Incorrect potting or repotting
  • Pest infestations occurring after delivery
  • Lack of suitable care or neglect

8.3.8 Plant-Care Support

Our team can provide general guidance regarding watering, light, fertilisation and plant care.

Customers are encouraged to contact us for guidance before making a plant-related claim.

8.3.9 Weather & Delivery Delays

Extreme weather conditions or courier delays may affect a plant’s appearance. We take precautions to pack plants suitably, but natural variations caused by transit may still occur.

8.3.10 Important Note

This Live Plant Policy is in addition to applicable statutory consumer rights and is intended to explain the natural characteristics of live plants and the process for handling delivery-related concerns.

  • Once preparation or production has started, changes or cancellations may not be possible.
  • Customisation details provided by the customer will be used to prepare the order.
